Miriam’s passion for Judaism, developed in her American Hebrew school, led her to Israel as a teen. While there, she was able to devote her time to the study of many facets of Torah, including Scripture, prayer and Chassidic philosophy. During this time, Miriam and Michael were married in Jerusalem. They set up a home based on the joy and the beauty of their Judaic learning and observance. After their return to America, Miriam recognized a need for inspiring and relevant understandings of Judaism for contemporary English speakers. This gave birth to her work with prayers, the Torah portions and adapting Michael’s classes for print. |
